"you have new questions!" notification

what sort of "you have questions available" notification (if any) would users find most helpful from The Learnery? SMS (text) reminder, email reminder, in app pop up / notification, desktop notification? a mixture of the above? please comment below and upvote if you find important.

If this was highlighted with a color when the questions were available, and then white when all the current questions were answered, it would make it more intuitive to use.
